S&A Wire Rope Compound

Description
Wire Rope Compound is a superior semi-synthetic compound developed for the lubrication and protection of open gears and wire ropes subjected to extremes of ambient temperature and operating condition. The unique formulation offers full extreme pressure performance and incorporates solid lubricants to offer superb load carrying capacity as well as reducing contact temperatures, surface pitting and alleviating ‘stick-slip’ conditions. The product exhibits excellent physical and mechanical stability as well resisting water wash-off either by immersion or spray. The product remains soft and pliable over long periods, hence eliminating lubricant build-up. The product offers outstanding protection against corrosion and repels dirt and dust. The product is both lead and solvent free offering environmental compliance.
Applications
Intended for use on mooring, static and slow-moving wire ropes including those intermittently immersed in salt water. Heavily loaded open gears including those found in grinding mills, kilns, shovels, draglines, ship loaders, stackers and excavator applications. It may also be used to surface dress slow moving gears which are exposed to the atmosphere and in plain bearings, pivot pins / bushings and articulations found in earth moving equipment
